Position Summary

The UNM Division of Information Technologies is seeking candidates for a Senior Business Analyst (Enterprise Analyst/Workload Coordinator) position. The successful candidate will join a high caliber team of professionals in the Information Technologies department on the IT Applications Development Operations Team.

The position will lead the Intake process and workload operation of our critical enterprise application portfolio to ensure incoming requests are processed in a timely manner according to our KPIs and customer expectations; conducting initial analysis of incoming requests, collaborating with the staff, and presenting projects during leadership team.The role will conduct the following functions:Business and Technical Analysis - Support and lead mapping of critical processes both internal and external.Collaborate and lead campus partners gather and document system and business requirements including requirements traceability matrix.Coordinating Applications workload monitoring - Collaborate with the IT Applications Team, Leadership and Requestors to schedule work, resources and schedules.Support the Governance Process for Projects - Lead the Intake workload management for the Development and Operations teams to ensure incoming requests are processed and routed to the appreciate team and workload information is up-to-date and is available to our campus partners. This work will support our efforts to remain within two weeks of processing new incoming requests and includes the completion of Scorecards, initial analysis and presentation of the results to governance committees.Documentation and Standards Development - Support the development, update and documentation of IT Applications standards where applicable.Job Duties:

Manage and coordinate incoming Projects, Service Requests and Incidents for the Applications Development TeamGather and document requirements, shepherd effort through prioritization and schedulingPotential to manage small and medium size projectsActing as a liaison between end-users and IT teams on projects, business relationship efforts and other key processesProvide in-depth analysis services and participate in process enhancement efforts with key partners and stakeholders.Lead the establishment of tools and processes to monitor, validate, and administer workloadParticipate in process improvement and quality effortsParticipate in standardization and documentation effortsSupport and align efforts to meet customer and business needsWork closely with multiple offices across campuses as an advocate, an analyst, and champion of IT Application's core directives: Secure, Accessible, Reliable, Innovative, and EffectiveDocument all work in our knowledge base leveraging different formats such as technical writing, diagrams, charts, and instructions to best communicate source materialTrain others as needed on Business Analysis Processes.Advocate for continual improvement of the division by offering recommendations on processes and existing systemsOther duties as assignedSee the Position Description for additional information.

Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours;at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Strong communication, team, customer relations, and organizational skillsExperience working closely with customers to understand their needs and translating those needs into technical solutionsExperience solving problems with creative solutionsDemonstrated ability to work in a fast, paced structured environmentDemonstrated ability to document applications promptly and contribute to knowledge basesAbility to analyze complex issues from a business and technical perspectiveAbility to self-manage time when assigned multiple projects, incidents and service requestsAbility to listen to feedback and adjust plans accordinglyAdaptable and flexible with changeITIL Certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification a plusFamiliarity with Agile methodology a plus
