Background:

This role is a new opportunity with an Enterprise-Scale Commercial Solar and Battery Developer based in the Bay. They are looking for a Bid Manager with experience of working in Enterprise Sales, particularly in Solar to join their team to coordinate and support their Bid and Proposal team.

Responsibilities:

Bid Management:

Lead the bid process from initial inquiry through to delivery.

Develop and manage bid plans, ensuring timely submission.

Coordinate with internal teams to gather required information and documentation.

Proposal Development:

Write, review, and edit proposals for solar projects.

Ensure proposals are compliant with client requirements and company standards.

Create compelling and persuasive content to improve win rates.

Client Interaction:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the bid and proposal process.

Understand client needs and tailor proposals to meet these requirements.

Conduct presentations and bid clarifications with clients.

Team Coordination:

Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and project management teams.

Facilitate communication and coordination among team members.

Organize and lead bid review meetings.

Market Analysis:

Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.

Analyze market conditions to identify opportunities for new bids.

Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Several years of experience in bid and proposal management, preferably in the renewable energy or construction sector.

Proven track record of winning large-scale solar projects.
