What this Job Entails:The Software Engineer designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for enhancements and new products. They will also develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms.Scope:Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issuesWorks on problems of limited scopeReceives detailed instructionsYour Roles and Responsibilities:Help to provide administration, development, and application support for end usersAssist in the design, develop, code, test and debug system softwareReview code and designAssist with configuring and integrating third-party software components and technologiesHelp to perform root cause analysis of network, operating system, and other issues related to how technical solutions operate in customer environmentsHelp to address and resolve software bugs and bug reproduction requests; logging of all incidents and requests; engaging other service desk resources or appropriate service resources to resolve incidents that are beyond the scope of their ability or responsibilityAssist with appropriate logging and tracking of incidents and requests from identification through to resolution as per established policiesProvide limited after hours and on-call support as neededAssist with review and development of test documentationWork with stakeholders and cross-functional teams on projects and initiativesOther duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all responsibilities assigned to this positionRequired Qualifications/Skills:Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 0 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceBuilds stable working relationships internallyFollows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or dataUnderstanding of various development programsAbility to quickly learn customer support processes, tools and techniquesExcellent communication skills in English (both speaking and writing)Ability to collaborate and work remotely including use of communication toolsAbility to multi-task and self-organize including prioritization of activitiesUnderstanding of using monitoring systemsAttention to detailPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with system administrationPhysical Demand & Work Environment:Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standingMust have the ability to move from place to place within an office environmentMust be able to use a computerMust have the ability to communicate effectivelySome positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingersSalary Range:$27.86 - $43.85 USD (Hourly)Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
