With massive reach through Linux distributions, enterprise deployments and public clouds, MariaDB is uniquely positioned as the leading database for modern application development.The OpportunityThe Customer Success Manager is responsible for the general health of the MariaDB customer base, ensuring timely renewal, expanded usage and reduced customer churn. In addition, the chosen candidate will help to close new and expanded sales in allocated territories. This role will be measured in terms of renewal sales with increased opportunity to earn commission for expansion sales.What you'll do:Serve as the primary relationship owner between our strategic customers and internal stakeholders, and be a key member of our Customer Success organization.Articulate the value of our Open Source Database/SaaS cloud platform, while driving customer engagement and adoption.Guide post-sale support activities such as customer onboarding, adoption, advocacy, reviews/updates, and retention through renewals.Coordinate and engage different internal technical teams to solve customer issues.Renew existing customers on time leaving no gap in services & develop continued business growth.Improve contract value of renewals through improved pricing and longer contractual duration.Work cross-functionally with strategic and technical colleagues to accomplish customer goals.Qualify opportunities through follow-ups (within company SLA's and best practices playbook).Maintain an accurate, robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.Prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding monthly progress and strategies.What you'll need:2-3 years of experience as a customer-facing CSM in an entrepreneurial, fast growing start up like environment.Direct experience with SaaS products, solutions, or ecosystems.Experience maintaining goals for ARR including contract values.Adept at driving results and outcomes while solving complex business problems.Experience in a solution-sales / cloud technology environment.Experience with prospecting and opportunity development using tools such as SalesLoft, Salesforce.com, and Zoominfo.Excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).Bonus Experience/SkillsKnowledge and understanding of Databases.Track record working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams.Meets/exceeds MariaDB's sales team requirements.Meets/exceeds MariaDB's functional/technical depth for this role.Location:

Austin, TX - HybridCompensation:The annual anticipated U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is USD $60,000.00 - $81,000.00. Actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies. In addition, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than the job description as posted. Salary is one component of MariaDB's total rewards package, which (subject to eligibility requirements) may include equity ownership, health insurance, life, and disability insurance, funds toward professional development resources, Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays, and parental leave, just to name a few!
