Aerospace and Defense Attorney

A law firm in Saint Joseph, MI is seeking an Aerospace and Defense Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in federal government contracts, preferably with knowledge of U.S. export controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advising clients on A&D matters, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in administrative and court proceedings.Duties:Advise clients on government and commercial contracts related to aerospace and defenseDraft legal memoranda, bid protests, REAs, claims, and policy articlesConduct legal research on government contracts, subcontracts, and regulatory requirementsManage projects effectively and demonstrate strong organizational skillsRepresent clients in administrative and court proceedings, including bid protests and claimsAssist with internal and government investigations and compliance planningProvide transactional and litigation support, including M&A activitiesRequirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal government contractsFamiliarity with U.S. export controls, including OFAC sanctionsAdmission to the State Bar of Michigan or the D.C. Bar, or eligibility for admission by anticipated start datePortable book of business is desirableEducation:Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan or the D.C.
