We are seeking a highly skilled and specialized Corporate Attorney with experience in engineering, construction, environmental or other professional consulting sectors to join our team as an in-house counsel. In this role, you will be responsible for handling complex legal matters and projects, ensuring the legality of our commercial transactions, and providing expert advice on our company’s legal rights and duties.

As a Corporate Attorney, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization against legal risks by conducting thorough research and analysis. You will develop company policies and positions on legal issues and ensure compliance with relevant and emerging laws and regulations as the organization expands its geography and service offerings. You will be charged with structuring, drafting, and reviewing legal documents and agreements, as well as representing the company in negotiations.

Position Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree7+ years of legal experience in a corporate environment or proven comparable law firm experienceProven background in commercial transactions, contract law, and corporate lawSolutions-oriented strategic thinker with sound judgment and the ability to provide practical advice by balancing business needs with legal risksExcellent negotiation and communications skills and ability to effectively communicate complex legal matters to executives and non-legal stakeholdersAnalytical ability and strong attention to detailComputer skillsCurrent license to practice law

Essential Duties

Draft and administer all contracts (e.g., Professional Services Agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, NDAs, Access Agreements, RFPs, Separation Agreements, Provider Agreements)Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits)Develop company policy and position on legal issuesResearch, anticipate and guard company against legal risksGuide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulationsStructure, draft and review reports and other legal documentsRepresent company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, etc.)Negotiate deals and attend company meetings

Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000. This salary range is based on what Roux in good faith believes it might pay at the time of posting for this position and for this geographic location. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as relevant work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications, skill sets, and internal equity. In addition, this position is eligible for quarterly performance bonuses based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm.
