We are hiring a Corporate Counsel, Legal (Director level equivalent) to join our growing company. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a wide range of legal matters at an innovative and mission-driven tech company. The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for assisting the team in all facets of the business, assessing and managing risk and contractual obligations across the organization, and managing the systems, processes, and operations of all legal, regulatory and compliance functions. The role will report directly to our General Counsel.

Responsibilities:Contract management, including leading all aspects of the contract lifecycle from drafting, negotiation to executionIdentify and evaluate business, regulatory, and legal risks and partner with business teams to find creative solutions to mitigate those risksDraft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including strategic partnerships, vendor and customer agreementsCoordinate, conduct legal and regulatory product review for new products and featuresEstablish organization-wide, scalable processes for contracting, compliance and risk managementAdvise on all legal, regulatory and compliance operations across business verticalsUndertake special projects and investigations, and support legal and compliance program initiativesCoordinate and advise on matters regarding employment, insurance, M&A, tax, litigation, corporate transactions, intellectual property, security, IT & real estatePerform other assignments, strategic projects, or duties as neededOur Ideal Candidate:JD degree from U.S. accredited law school6+ years of experience; mix of law firm and prior in-house legal experience a plusMust have a strong transactional legal background; experience drafting and negotiating complex agreementsMust have a strong healthcare regulatory backgroundProven ability to proactively, efficiently and accurately assess legal business risks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive "can-do" attitudeSound business judgment and acumen (not just the legal stuff), and a strong sense of ethicsAbility to work directly with senior levels of management and effectively communicate legal issues, and obtain consensus, and operate within tight deadlinesStrong desire to learn the business and expand areas of expertiseStrong sense of empathy and patience to teach and mentor othersYou are motivated, agile, and love learning new thingsYou are energetic, meticulous, can think on your feet under pressure in a fast-paced work environmentYou are open, collaborative, and transparent in how you workHealthcare tech background preferredStart-up experience, privacy, and healthcare product experience will be highly regardedSense of humor and humility a mustOffers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. This may include but is not limited to substance testing, education, employment, references, state and federal licensure and certifications, criminal history, Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and General Services Administration (GSA) exclusions checks.

For Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Washington DC-based employment: In accordance with the Pay Transparency laws the pay range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000. The compensation package may include stock options, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, generous PTO, stipends for professional development, and wellness benefits. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. The range listed only applies to Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Washington DC.
