Food and Beverage Supervisor

Department: Food and BeverageEmployment type: Variable HourlyWork Schedule: Varied hours including weekends, evenings, and holidaysReports to: Food and Beverage Supervisor and Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Must be able to fulfill all functions and duties of all Food and Beverage Department positionsSupervise food and beverage staff to ensure efficient daily operationConduct pre and post shift briefings with all Food and Beverage Department employeesAbility to properly and safely operate all equipment usedInitiate and impose disciplinary action according to museum policies and proceduresResponsible for the conducting in-service and ongoing training of employees to ensure optimal customer satisfaction in quality, service, safety, and efficiency, as well as establishing and maintaining customer service standardsSupervise guest experience to ensure excellent customer service is provided by the food and beverage staffResponsible for the continued compliance with local Health Department sanitation guidelines and codesResponsible for maintaining food and beverage presentation standards at all quick service restaurant and food cartsEnsure all museum policies and procedures are being followed by all employeesIdentify concerns and work with management to resolve concernsMaintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other employeesProvide superior customer service to all customers in a polite and expedient mannerAssist customers with all questions regarding City Museum including facility layout and amenitiesFollow all museum policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age or olderRecord of Hep A vaccine or ability to receive (as required by St Louis City Health Department)*Food Handler's Safety Card/certification*Experience in department or equivalent supervisory experience preferredAbility to accept guidance and supervisionDemonstrate ability to work independentlyAbility to communicate effectively with public, customers and staff membersBe aware, attentive, and work well with othersEnergy and enthusiasm for long daysAbility to work in extreme conditions and take precautions, including hydration, sun-protection and other precautions as necessary

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of timeMust be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 50 pounds.Must be able to lift and lower 25 pounds above shoulder level*Required to provide within 10 days of employment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
