Responsibilities
Administers ionizing radiation using imaging modalities to perform radiographic procedures of a highly specialized nature. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patients age-specific needs is required.For Interventional Radiology, in addition to providing support within the Interventional Radiology suites, staff will also be assigned to provide imaging support for the Hybrid operating room and assist in Stealth guidance.Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Graduate from an accredited radiography program of study. One year experience as an interventional radiology or cardiac cath lab technologist preferred. Functions as an Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath or Electrophysiology Lab Technologist. Ability to improvise standard procedures. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, making decisions and directing work and patient flow to achieve maximum operational efficiency. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.License or CertificationARRT-R and Arizona CRT required. Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency. ACLS required within 6 months of hire. CV, CI,VI, RCIS or RCES required within two years of hire. Certification in Cardiac or Vascular Intervention by the ARRT preferred.Exemption Status
