The Regional Safety

Manager must understand and communicate the issues and supporting data that impact health, safety and the environment, as well as the improvement tools necessary to support the desired culture. This position will oversee other health and safety personnel in various sites / locations. Job Description

Key Accountabilities:Assists in the Development, implementation, and manages programs meant to protect employee health and safety and promote environmental compliance.Directs the implementation of the company safety program for multiple sites and locations as assigned with focus on departmental and organizational goalsSafety and Compliance knowledge, Auditing, KPI and CommunicationManagement of compliance systems ie Avetta and ISNETApproves training for operations/office personnel on safety processes and practices, new initiatives and injury and accident avoidance supporting the company safety program.Collaborates with leadership and employees, and other communication mediums regarding safety performance, incidents, and other related informationValidates performance of internal audits to identify non-compliance, hazardous conditions and unsafe behaviors; audit scope includes processes, facilities and equipmentManages improvement opportunities and non-compliance corrections through implementationValidates performance of accidents/incidents investigations and facilitates the development of root cause correctionsValidates performance of hazard assessment, including identification of hazards and corrective action plans, Hazcom and Litium ION training and complianceAbility to travel 50% or more as drive by business demandThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
