Join the Kapahi Lab as a Research Associate! Unlock the Secrets of the Hallmarks of Aging! Are you passionate about unraveling the mysteries of aging and eager to delve into the fascinating world of hallmarks of aging? The Kapahi Lab is looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a

Research Associate . If you have a thirst for knowledge and aspire to contribute to cutting-edge research in a collaborative and progressive environment, we invite you to apply.POSITION SUMMARYIn the ever-evolving landscape of modern diet and lifestyle, a concerning trend has emerged - the association between these factors and health issues such as obesity and insulin resistance. These conditions, in turn, contribute to the onset of age-associated disorders, including Alzheimer's disease. The intricate

link between insulin resistance and the neurodegenerative

process has been established through various studies. Despite recognizing this correlation, the development of molecular therapies faces significant challenges. The elusive nature of the endogenous drivers behind this pathology has hindered progress in finding effective treatments. At the Kapahi Lab, we are addressing this gap by employing cutting-edge drug screening methodologies. Our research focuses on

screening metabolites

using state-of-the-art techniques. By identifying compounds that

reduce obesity

and enhance

insulin sensitivity , we aim to unravel the molecular mechanisms at play. This approach holds promise in not only addressing insulin resistance but also in potentially improving the

neurodegenerative

aspects associated with conditions like Alzheimer's disease. Our investigations utilize both mouse models and cell culture methods, allowing us to explore and understand the complex interactions at a molecular level. Through this innovative approach, we strive to pave the way for novel therapeutic interventions in the realm of age-associated disorders.WHY CHOOSE US?Aging Research Focus: Become an integral part of a team dedicated to advancing our understanding of aging processes.Emphasis on Learning and Progress: Join a culture that prioritizes continuous learning and professional development.
