PACCARAs a Vehicle Support Technical Lead, you will be an expert on the PACCAR Engine, Chassis, and supporting electrical systems. The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining team training documentation, collaborating within the PACCAR Organization, and sharing content with the Vehicle Support Team. The position will provide accurate and quick support to PACCAR Dealer Technicians, provide detailed data to all PACCAR divisions on emerging issues related to PACCAR Engines, Aftertreatment Systems, and Chassis Electrical Architecture, acting as the first point of contact across all PACCAR Divisions.Job Functions / Responsibilities

Develop and maintain training program and documentation for Vehicle Support Team.Represent Vehicle Support Team during cross-functional Organizational meetings and compile content to develop standard work procedures for case management.Manage reporting for trending Field issues and present findings during Organizational meetings.Provide direct technical support to Dealer Technicians by identifying customer concerns and reviewing prior troubleshooting results, providing rapid and accurate technical and diagnostic support using our internal case management tool TCS 365.Follow-up on repair progress to ensure maximum uptime in returning trucks to service.Provide Software Support on engine applications that require special approvals, additional research or are regulated by government agencies. Provide instructions and updates to dealer technicians on these situations.Work with various divisions to certify and test new diagnostic tools or improvements to existing tools and support continuous improvement teams.Escalate as appropriate complex issues to Field Service Engineers, Advanced Diagnostic Engineering, Technical Document Specialists, Customer Service Managers, and Internal Management Team.Provide detailed documentation to appropriate divisions regarding product quality and improvements. Report as appropriate customer concerns.Maintain all PACCAR Engine Certifications and staying up to date on current systems and technologies.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field requiredAbility to earn and maintain the MX Engine Certification3+ years of experience in vehicle and diesel engine diagnostics required:Strong understanding of automotive/diesel OEM software programming and network diagnostics and troubleshooting

Fundamental understanding of electrical system theory and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot system faultsFundamental understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to accurately and efficiently diagnose component/system failuresKnowledge of industry diagnostic tools and current EPA requirements including OBD (On Board Diagnostics)

Demonstrated strength in coaching and mentoring to attain team goalsAbility to effectively communicate at all levels up to and including senior leadershipAbility to multitask and produce high volume/high quality outputWillingness to work in a 24/7 environment, adapt to changing schedules and requirementsAbility to work under limited supervision, make sound decisions under pressureStrong PC skills including Microsoft Office
