Note: Need strong hands-on candidates with 10-14 years experience, not too senior candidates (No Solution Architects or Managers). Specifically client is looking for an experienced cloud engineer with Azure, Terraform and Powershell skills (or general programming who can adapt). Azure is key and they must be hands on
Architecting, Designing, documenting & implementing cloud and hybrid solutions that run on Microsoft Azure, including compute, network, storage, monitoring, and security for the Data platform team that s building scalable Azure Data platform using Azure PaaS services Synapse, ADLS, Azure Databricks, Azure Data factory, Azure SQL, Power BI, Stream analytics, Azure ML, Azure Event HubsUnderstand client requirements & recommend secure, scalable, and reliable Azure solutions (WAF compliant)Partner with developers, administrators, and other roles responsible for implementing solutions on Azure, in an agile delivery model.Provide effective knowledge transfer and upskilling to relevant customer personnel to ensure an appropriate level of future self-sufficiency.AZ 305 certified
Skills/experience
10+ years of Microsoft-based architecture and infrastructure experience5+ years of experience with architecture design, migration, and infrastructure support for the enablement of large enterprise-wide Azure environmentsExperience in the following areas within Azure.Networking (Virtual networks, ERs, NSGs, Firewalls)HA and DRStorageBackup and Site RecoverySubscriptions, Tenants and Landing zonesSecurity and GovernanceAzure policiesAzure BlueprintsARM templates.Infrastructure as code (terraform)Azure DevOpsAzure build, deployment, automation, networking and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments.Knowledge of PowerShell, Git, ARM templates and deployment automation.Pricing of Azure services / environment & recommending optimal solutions
