Job Description
A premier legal firm in Los Angeles, CA specializing in personal injury and employment law is searching for a highly motivated Pre-Litigation Attorney to join their team! The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in personal injury law, with experience assessing liabilities and damages in personal injury claims. This role is fully onsite and provides a lucrative earnings potential through a competitive base salary and uncapped commission. The firm also offers a laid-back, friendly work atmosphere and other attractive perks!
Pay Range: $100,000 - $110,000 DOE + commission
Responsibilities
Lead personal injury cases from initiation through to resolution, ensuring effective management and timely progressionDirect Case Managers and Legal Assistants, creating a dynamic and productive team atmosphereEngage with various departments, including Property Damage, Case Management, Demands/Negotiation, and Liens, to optimize case resultsEvaluate case specifics to determine coverage and liability, applying a deep understanding of California's legal landscapeMaintain open and honest communication with clients, delivering standout service and fostering trust through clarity and attentiveness
Requirements
A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolA minimum of 2-3 years of pre-litigation experience in handling personal injury cases from inception to settlementDemonstrated ability to effectively supervise Case Managers and Legal Assistants, ensuring a productive team environmentComprehensive knowledge of California state laws, regulations, and legal procedures relevant to personal injury lawMust be an active member in good standing with the California Bar AssociationStrong collaboration skills, with experience in working as part of a team, including the ability to coordinate with support staff and other attorneysProven ability to assess liability and damages in personal injury claimsAbility to manage a large caseload and handle cases of significant valueProficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Outlook) is requiredFamiliarity with Filevine case management software is preferredEnglish/Spanish bilingual is preferred
