In our role as public administrators, our charge is to ensure that our programs and our workplaces provide all Californians the opportunity to thrive.Job Description And DutiesThe Department of Social Services (CDSS), Children and Family Services Division (CFSD) is looking for a journey-level data specialist to help build and implement the innovative public policy projects that address the State’s social issues plaguing our communities.We are looking for a passionate professional who cares about children and families. In this position you will:
Research and prepare literature reviews of programs, policies, and studies to inform improvement opportunities regarding child welfare systems.Complete complex analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data regarding child welfare programs and services.Communicate findings with transparency and clarity to program staff, state leadership, community members, legislative staff, and other key partners.Lead and participate in teams that plan and implement complex efforts including research project design and methodology, data collection, outcome development, and monitoring and evaluation of child welfare programs.Support the implementation of continuous quality improvement models in California child welfare.Work with a passionate group of professionals who care deeply about the rights, well-being, and safety of California’s families.
