You will play a key role in shaping new product visions and defining the future direction of our instrumentation and services. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineers, and applications scientists, you will successfully implement innovative solutions that meet the critical needs of our customers. We prioritize your career development and provide ample training and resources to support your growth.ResponsibilitiesManage a team of product managers to drive growth and profitability for the Handheld Analytical Instrument portfolioLead commercialization and product development activities to deliver revenue goals and strategic market positionPartner with the leadership team to build out the near and long-term strategic roadmap and prioritiesDrive product lifecycle including developing the justification/business case, product launch plans, marketing plans, pricing and positioning, value proposition and channel strategyDevelop and present compelling training materials and provide product line training and supportAnalyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy to identify opportunities for growth and differentiationLead or manage global supply, demand, revenue, margin and pricing for product portfolio; updating and presenting forecasts regularly to management, finance, and manufacturing teamsPartner with finance and product team to build scenario-based financial models and forecasts to inform market strategy and prioritize activitiesWork cross-functionally to support quality, operations, and services outcomesCollaborate effectively in a global setting across different geographies and time zonesRequirementsBachelor's degree in a scientific or business field; MBA is a plusMinimum 8 years of experience in Product Management, with experience managing people preferredDemonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage projectsExperience with analytical instrument portfolio comprising instrument, software, and servicesExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze overall business impactAbility to build and inspire teams in a collaborative and matrix environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with financial modeling and data analysis skillsKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAbility to build, manage, and inspire teams across a matrix environment; effective at influencing others and building relationships with a collaborative approachCustomer-centric and keenly aware of markets, trends and competitorsExcellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact and then make appropriate decisionsAble to assess impact of projects and prioritize/allocate time accordinglyAuthentic, transparent and leads by example, holding self and others accountableStrong verbal and written communications skills and ability to support business unit executives with analysis and presentationsAbility to forecast and track resultsDemonstrates a sense of urgency, contagious optimism and a “can do” attitudeTravel 20-25% of time, domestic and internationalJoin us at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. and be part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference in the world.
