The Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine, and the Center for Perioperative Medicine (CPM) at McGovern Medical School would like to invite applications for non-tenure instructor and assistant professor faculty positions. We are particularly interested in applicants with independent funding who are passionate about pursuing translational research in endogenous adaptive responses related to the field of perioperative medicine and critical care including acute lung injury, myocardial or hepatic ischemia, acute kidney injury, and intestinal inflammation. Qualified individuals should have an MD or PhD degree and at least 4 years of additional research experience.

Responsibilities include developing extramural funding and actively participating in research activities of the CPM. McGovern Medical School is a part of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) and is located within the Texas Medical Center, which also includes Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
