Of Counsel needed for Portland office

A law firm based in Portland is seeking an Of Counsel with extensive litigation experience, preferably in employment law. The ideal candidate will defend and litigate lawsuits involving various employment-related claims, represent employers in court and administrative proceedings, provide legal counsel on labor and employment laws, and possess exceptional written and oral communication skills. A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school is required, along with active admission to the Oregon Bar or the ability to obtain admission quickly.Duties:Defend and litigate lawsuits concerning a wide range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations in employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.Provide legal advice and counsel to employers on labor and employment laws and regulations.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school.Active admission to the Oregon Bar or the ability to obtain admission quickly.8+ years of litigation experience, with a strong background in employment law preferred.Understanding of current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA accredited law school.Certifications:Active admission to the Oregon Bar or the ability to obtain admission quickly.Skills:Excellent written and oral communication skills.Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, along with the ability to work independently on various projects.
