As the Manager, Business Intelligence Claims you will contribute to the Business Intelligence department mission by delivering solutions and participating in various medium to large sized organizational projects. This role is responsible for building and deploying data and reporting solutions, to meet the organization's current and future needs. This role is also responsible for defining informational requirements to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and reconciliation standards.

How you will create impact:

  • Developing and managing high performing teams through recruiting, training, coaching, assessing, motivating, and supporting.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to ensure that BI architecture, design, and development best practices are applied to all BI Solutions
  • Understanding corporate strategies, BI goals and architecture and ensure that the BI solutions support the corporate strategy and goals.
  • Effectively communicating progress and influence to different stakeholder groups (technical and business) at varying levels of seniority and size.
  • Managing BI projects and operations by setting and communicating goals, measuring progress, addressing issues, and solving problems (including technical problems escalated by your team).
  • Representing your team in project planning and scrums with business partners.

  • You use critical thinking to guide decision making and apply a strategic mindset to adjust business plans based on shifting priorities.
  • You have a deep understanding of business intelligence, data integration and data lakehouse/warehouse practices, as well as practical experience in building data pipelines, reports and dashboards in an Agile environment.


To join our team:

  • You have 5-8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Actuarial, Information Technology or in a related field.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Computer Sciences, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
  • Experience with the following is a requirement: SQL, Azure Synapse, MicroStrategy and JIRA
  • Experience with the following is an asset: AWS, Databricks, API design and development
  • You have demonstrated the ability to coach, mentor and motivate staff to achieve results as well as the ability to lead and maintain a high-performance culture within your team.
  • You have excellent communication skills with a strong ability to convey messages, demonstrating an openness to exploring alternative points of view.
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.
