Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Project Manager - Mining, who has a desire to contribute to our clients' success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. This position will be working out of one of our Midwest locations, ideally Green Bay, Minneapolis, Duluth, or Madison.

Primary Responsibilities
    • Manage manufacturing and mining clients, including multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists, in the completion of environmental projects
    • Manage the planning, development, and execution of projects keeping in mind budget, schedule, quality, and contractual commitments
    • Lead federal, state, and local permitting efforts
    • Assemble project teams and monitor project performance while mentoring and coaching team members
    • Negotiate scope change orders with clients and subcontractors
    • Assist client leaders with creating proposals and cultivating client relationships
    • Ability to travel up to 20%


Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or applicable technical discipline
    • 10 years of project management experience working with complex projects of varying size and scope


Preferred Qualifications
    • 15+ years of experience working in the consulting engineering industry
    • 5 years of experience managing mining projects, which may include: mine planning, mine optimization, milling, tailings management, reclamation, preparation of scoping and trade-off studies, feasibility studies, permitting, and natural resource assessments
    • Professional registration or certification in project management
    • Previous experience developing project business opportunities
    • Prior experience with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and documentation
    • Previous experience with mine permitting in the Upper-Midwest and Great Lakes region (Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin)
