About the Role:As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be our first in-house accounting hire and play a crucial role in shaping our financial processes and systems. The ideal candidate for this role will have 3-5 years of accounting experience. In this role you will have exposure to nearly all accounting activities and work closely with senior business stakeholders. While a CPA designation is preferred, it is not required.Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.Lead the full month end close activities, including revenue recognition (blend of hardware and SaaS), cost accounting and inventory, expense accruals, bank reconciliations, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.Own our A/P system and process vendor invoices in a timely manner.Preparation of customer invoices and ensuring timely payment.Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and workbooks.Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and filing requirements and act as the main contact with our tax firms and regulatory agencies.Assist with various annual internal and external audits by maintaining and providing various documentation and support as requested.Work cross functionally to drive ongoing process improvements and new process implementation for financial operations.Other related finance and accounting duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a mix of public practice and industry.Experience working with inventory, procurement, and revenue recognition is a plusCPA or progress towards a CPA is a plusSolid understanding of accounting concepts, financial reporting, and internal controls.Familiarity with accounting system(s) and general operational processesExpert user in Microsoft Excel / Google SheetsHigh attention to detail and accuracySelf-motivated and ability to work independentlyAbility to organize, prioritize, and communicate with team members in a remote environmentWhat we Offer:
