Get more details below.On-site Location: Chicago, IL (near Midway airport)Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 annuallyWhat you’ll do as an Accountant:Oversee financial aspects of contracts, including billing, invoicing, and ensuring adherence to contract termsPrepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsPerform regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy and integrity of financial dataAssist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and recommendationsEnsure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations within the construction industryCollaborate with project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to address financial inquiries and provide necessary supportImplement and maintain cost accounting systems to track project expenses, analyze variances, and ensure accurate project costingMonitor and report on cost trends, providing insights to support cost-saving initiatives and optimize project profitabilityWhat you’ll bring to the Accountant role:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field2-5+ years of experience as a Staff AccountantExperience in construction accounting, project accounting, job costing, or a related industry is highly preferredProficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Oracle Netsuite, or similar) and Microsoft ExcelTake the first step on your new career path!
