Chicago, ILWhat you'll do as the Staff Accountant:
Prepare balance sheet and income statement analyses and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses, and payrollAssist in the month-end close and performing journal entriesApply financial, accounting, and control policies for consistent practice/application of GAAP across the companyAssist in the process development of project/job costing throughout the various franchisesHelp with the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAPMonitor the fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliationPrepare and book all payroll entriesHelp to support others on the Accounting/Finance teamParticipate in streamlining/automating processes and procedures and various initiatives spanning across all franchisesWhat you'll bring to the Staff Accountant role:
3+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant2+ years of experience with journal entries and month-end closeProficiency in spreadsheets and databasesThorough knowledge and demonstrated skills in accounting and financial policies, procedures,and reportingProficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Sage, or other)Effective communication and interpersonal skillsExperience working in a changing and dynamic environment preferredFranchise accounting experience preferredTake the first step on your new career path!
