TBDStaff Accountant Job DescriptionThe Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What you'll do as a Staff Accountant:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accountsRecord journal entries for various transactions, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustmentsMonitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and balancesPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsIdentify and investigate any variances or discrepancies in financial dataPerform monthly balance sheet account reconciliationsInvestigate and resolve any reconciling items or discrepancies in a timely mannerEnsure proper documentation and support for reconciliationsEnsure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulationsHelp implement audit recommendations and process improvementsIdentify opportunities for streamlining accounting processes and enhancing efficiencyRecommend and implement changes to improve accuracy, effectiveness, and controlsParticipate in system upgrades or implementations related to accounting functionsWhat you'll bring to the Staff Accountant role:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field | CPA certification is a plus2-5+ years of experience in accounting or finance rolesStrong understanding of accounting principles and practicesProficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly ExcelExperience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is desirableAttention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracyKnowledge of US GAAP and relevant accounting regulations.Take the first step on your new career path!
