We are seeking to hire a full-time Staff Accountant.Key Responsibilities:Preparing monthly bank reconciliations, balance sheet and security deposit reconciliationsRecord and deposit payments received (i.e., refunds, utility reimbursements, etc.) into the appropriate financial institution bank account on a daily basisInvestigate bank statement reconciling items in a timely manner. Immediately notify the Controller of any unusual itemsCalculate and track debt balances and payments in accordance with individual financing agreementsPrepare and obtain proper approvals requests for debt paymentPreparation of wire instructions for debt service payments or other project paymentsPrepare and book monthly journal entries related to financial statementsTracking of property tax and insurance paymentsAnalyzing monthly financial statementsVerify the propriety of recorded payables and receivables, including preparation of monthly management feesInvestigating budget variancesAccurately completing financial package and submitting to Controller for review in accordance with Accounting CalendarPrepare and ensure all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to lenders and institutional and other owners/investorsRe-forecasting annual budgetsEnsure all audit/tax adjustments are posted in a timely mannerMonthly activities encompass processing and storing the various month-end reportsPerforming monthly reviews with the Property Director to verify the accuracy of financial informationEnsure historical records are kept and available via systemic reviewable systemsProvide excellent customer service on-site personnelAssist Property Controller with specific projects as necessaryCreate project reimbursements for construction/development projectsReconcile receivable accounts for construction/development projectsOther duties as assignedEducation, Training And Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree from a four year college/university in Accounting or Finance1-3 years of accounting management and financial analysis experienceCPA certification preferredComprehensive knowledge of accounting best practicesExcellent organizational and communications skills, both written and oralAbility to manage multiple projects and completing prioritiesRequired to speak and write the English language in an understandable mannerRequires excellent people skills and the ability to effectively work with corporate, on-site personnel as well as vendorsRequires high level of organization and time management skillsRequires high level of attention to detailExperience in MS Excel, Word and Outlook and construction accounting softwareFlexible, willing, team player attitudeSend your resume to
