STAFF ACCOUNTANTOur client is an established and well known Professional Services firm operating in multiple states. They are growing and seeking a Driven and Ambitious Staff Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team.Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the firm. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with monthly financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards [US GAAP] and firm policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and excellent analytical skills.Responsibilities:

Key business partner to the Head of Marketing and Real Estate entityPrepare monthly financial reporting packages and JEs related to assigned entities.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the firm (primary focus on marketing and real estate entities).FP&A: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and actual vs. budget variance analysis.Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.Process accounts payable /AP and receivable/AR, ensuring timely payments and collections and reconciliations.Support the firm’s trust accounts in compliance with state/bar regulations and firm policies.Perform and assist with payroll processing and related financial reporting.Provide support to the GL team during monthly, quarterly reporting and annual audits and tax filings (as needed)Collaborate with the legal team to support client billing and collections.Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.Assist with the annual audit and liaise with external auditors.Perform other accounting and financial duties and special projects as assigned by the Financial Controller & CFO.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance from an accredited college/university3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment (but not mandatory).Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices [US GAAP].Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Proficient in Excel (intermediate to advanced)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Important to have a sense of urgency andAbility to work in a high volume and fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.High level of integrity and confidentiality.
