Position Summary/Objective
The Production Assembler follows outlined procedures and specifications in assembling Astro Machine products.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead and understand manufacturing work orders, follow procedures, documents and verbal instructionsMechanical assembly of parts using basic hand toolsRoute wires and connectors between individual component locationsCompletes required paperwork, as required, and in a timely mannerAssist other team members as necessaryReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Required Education and Experience
Ability to read/understand work instructions and assembly drawings (blueprints)Strong multitasking abilityKnowledge of basic mechanics and assemblyCandidate must be punctual, quality conscious, and motivatedExperience working in a manufacturing environmentBasic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with the use of common assembly hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, cutters)Additional Preferred Skills, Experience, and Certifications
Prior experience in electronics assembly
Physical Requirements
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Special Working Conditions / Travel Requirements
This job operates in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard manufacturing equipment such as hand tools, automatic and manual presses, test fixtures and computers. Little to no travel is expected in this position.
