Position:
Part-time on-ground Adjunct Assistant Professor in the College of Business and Management Traditional Undergraduate (TUG) program.Organizational Relationship:
Reports to the Dean and TUG Program Chair of the College of Business and Management (CBM)Position Status:
Non-Exempt, Part-time Adjunct FacultyPosition Summary:
The position is scheduled to begin in January 2025. CBM offers on-ground bachelor’s degrees and online undergraduate and master’s degrees with programs accredited by IACBE:
IACBE AccreditationDuties & Responsibilities:Teaching in-person undergraduate courses to traditional and nontraditional students.The courses may include Management Information Systems and Strategic Management in the traditional on-ground undergraduate business program. Other courses might be considered depending on your areas of study and experience.Completing the course syllabus and preparing the Canvas courseMonitoring and maintaining the course gradebookTracking attendanceDropout Detective Alerts – regarding student lack of progress and or attendanceAdministering mid-semester and final examsPublishing office hoursPosting timely final gradesCompleting the Summative Course Assessment (SCA) to improve student learning for Program Learning Objectives in courses taught.Participation in faculty in-service meetings when applicable.Education/Experience:
Candidates should have a master’s in a related field or an MBA (Terminal degree preferred) with an emphasis in information systems or Information Technology Management. Relevant industry experience and teaching ability and experience are required.Knowledge and Skills:
Computer skills and experience required. Preference for experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Learning Management Systems required (Canvas preferred).Environment:
Service-oriented instructional role in an institution of Christian higher education. Extensive contact with faculty colleagues, staff, students, and the general public in person and often by phone or email.Character:
Candidates should be able to articulate and demonstrate mature Christian Faith, in part through commitment to a local Christian church, and embrace the mission of Hope International University. A successful candidate must articulate a Christian worldview in teaching and academic discipline and fully support the University Mission, Vision, Values, and Statement of Belief:
