Position DescriptionOrigis Energy is seeking an experienced Asset Management Executive who will play a pivotal leadership role building and scaling Origis’ fast-growing renewable IPP business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing renewable energy assets and portfolios combined with strong leadership skills.Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Resources, you will manage the day-to-day financial and operational performance of our expanding utility scale solar and energy storage portfolio and lead the asset management team. Working collaboratively both internal and externally, you will help drive value for our investors and broader group of stakeholders.The Senior Director, Asset Management, is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.Key ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and executing strategies to maximize asset performance and profitabilityImplementing best practices and data analytics for asset optimization, including predictive maintenance and performance monitoringManaging contracts with vendors, service providers, and off-takers to ensure compliance and mitigate risksOverseeing financial analysis, budgeting, and investment decisions for individual assets and at the business unit levelBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, investors, and regulatorsDevelop and lead a high-performing team and fostering a collaborative work environmentIdentifying and assessing risks associated with solar and storage assets and developing mitigation strategiesPreparing regular performance reports and presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholdersStaying informed about emerging technologies and implementing innovative solutions to enhance asset performanceEnsure regulatory compliance via management and oversight of service providersProvide input during the development phase for contracts, including power purchase agreements, service contracts, EPC agreements, equipment selection, and LTSA’s and warranties applying operational lessons learnedContribute to portfolio selection decisions in support of IPP platform value maximizationSupport M&A sales processes in support of capital recycling strategyCollaborate and coordinate with Capital Markets team to structure efficient long-term debt financing for individual assets and portfoliosPartner with counterparts in Finance and Accounting to timely prepare operational portfolio reports and financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually)Overseeing the entire lifecycle of solar and storage assets, from development to decommissioningPreferred QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of experience in the energy industry, with a focus on project development, project finance, or asset managementExperience serving in an executive leadership role; preferably in a renewable energy development or IPP firmCommercial knowledge of key agreements including Power Purchase Agreements, Interconnect agreements, PPA settlement, and LLCAsExperience with tax equity, tax credit transfer agreements, and back-leverage debt structuresUnderstanding of renewable portfolio standards (RPS), renewable energy credits (RECs), and other renewable program incentives is preferredStrong financial, commercial, and technical acumen and ability to drive operational excellenceDemonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKey Attributes for SuccessDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsStrategic thinker with an investment focus and mindsetStrong operational risk-awarenessAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectivelyContinuous improvement mindset and ability to drive operational efficienciesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work across diverse teamsLocation
