Counseling Assistant Director and Director of TrainingThe Counseling Center Assistant Director and Training Director is a 12-month full-time position that assists in the development and implementation of our mission and vision as well as the day-to-day management of the Counseling Center. The training program consists of an APPIC Pre-Doctoral internship and Syracuse University graduate students from various mental health programs.
The specific responsibilities for this position include provision of clinical supervision to trainees, as well as the Behavioral Health Intern training program that the Counseling Center collaboratively manages with Health Services. This position also provides clinical and administrative supervision to Staff including the Assistant Training Director. Additionally, maintains a small clinical caseload, and participates in the Counseling Center's on-call rotation. This position must demonstrate high levels of cultural competency, be well-versed at working with students from traditionally underserved and/or underrepresented.
