Exciting opportunity to join an entrepreneurial, boutique investment banking firm dedicated to the energy transition! The business focuses on strategic advisory for clients across the full renewable energy spectrum; leveraging capital markets and sector technology expertise to provide strategic project finance, capital raising and M&A solutions.As an Analyst, you will join a growing platform at the ground level, empowering you with the opportunity to develop and progress organically with the business. You will gain exposure to senior and knowledgeable internal stakeholders, working closely with mid-senior level management and reporting to a Director on the deals team.The Analyst will take the lead on financial modelling and presentations, in addition to participation in financial and business due diligence, pre-engagement planning and execution, and supporting the team with final deliverable development.Responsibilities:
Responsible for analyzing and building sophisticated financial models and valuations used in client proposals and strategic plans, including DCF, trading comparable, tax equity structures and debt financing
Participate in day-to-day deal execution, interacting with deal team members and potentially client teams, transaction counterparties and other advisors
Assist clients in due diligence by coordinating the information flow, attending meetings between the parties, as well as reviewing and analyzing company information
Work independently, producing high-quality deliverables such as Confidential Investment Memorandums, board materials and other presentation materials for use in tax equity financing and M&A transactions or client pitches
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field; Master’s degree with emphasis in Finance, Engineering, Math or Economics preferred
Must pass SIE, Series 79, and 63 exams within the first six months of onboarding with the firm Investment banking, the renewable energy industry and project finance experience is highly preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills with experience in financial modeling and valuation
Exceptionally ambitious with the drive to run and close deals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to multitask
Passion for renewable energy and decarbonization
