Assistant Store Manager .We offer competitive benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, and Hearing Insurance plans; Group Life Insurance; Retirement Benefits; Education Assistance; and Paid Vacation Days.Job SummaryAssists in supervising store employees and participates in the day-to-day operations of the store and warehouse ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures; ensures the accountability and security of cashier funds; maintains the neatness and attractiveness of store merchandise ensuring that displays remain well-stocked; assists customer in locating items and prices and explains store policy; assists employees in resolving routine problems and performing special assignments; assumes the responsibilities of the Store Manager when needed.
Maintains a positive working atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional manner that will establish and promote a professional working relationship with vendors, donors, customers, beneficiaries, coworkers and management.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of effective customer service techniques. Knowledge of the principles and practices of basic mathematics. Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in the English language. Ability to operate a cash register. Ability to accurately and timely perform routine mathematical computations and count change.Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or G.E.D. preferred and experience working in a retail store preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Licenses and CertificationsNonePhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsAbility to meet attendance requirements. Ability to successfully work with a variety of personalities and people in a positive manner.
