Assistant Store Manager .We offer competitive benefits including Health,Dental, Vision, and Hearing Insurance plans; Group Life Insurance; RetirementBenefits; Education Assistance; and Paid Vacation Days.Job SummaryAssistsin supervising store employees and participates in the day-to-day operations ofthe store and warehouse ensuring compliance with established policies andprocedures; ensures the accountability and security of cashier funds; maintainsthe neatness and attractiveness of store merchandise ensuring that displaysremain well-stocked; assists customer in locating items and prices and explainsstore policy; assists employees in resolving routine problems and performingspecial assignments; assumes the responsibilities of the Store Manager whenneeded.
Maintains apositive working atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professionalmanner that will establish and promote a professional working relationship withvendors, donors, customers, beneficiaries, coworkers and management.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledgeof effective customer service techniques. Knowledge of the principles andpractices of basic mathematics. Ability to read, write, and effectivelycommunicate in the English language. Ability to operate a cash register.Ability to accurately and timely perform routine mathematical computations andcount change.Education and ExperienceHighSchool diploma or G.E.D. preferred and experience working in a retail store preferredor any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides therequired knowledge, skills, and abilities.Licenses and CertificationsNonePhysical Requirements andWorking ConditionsAbilityto meet attendance requirements. Ability to successfully work with a variety ofpersonalities and people in a positive manner.
