The role involves representing management in a variety of employment litigation matters, providing counsel on employment contracts, and advocating for clients in legal proceedings.Duties and Responsibilities:Represent management in employment litigation cases, including discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes.Advise clients on employment law compliance, contracts, policies, and procedures.Conduct legal research and analysis on complex employment issues.Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.Attend and handle depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials as needed.Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.Provide timely and detailed reporting to clients and partners.Requirements:1-10 years of experience in employment litigation, preferably with defense-side experience.Strong experience drafting legal documents including briefs, motions, and discovery requests.Familiarity with pre-litigation and second-chair trial experience.Admission to the California State Bar in good standing is required.Experience with insurance defense litigation is considered advantageous.Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes.Proficiency in legal research tools and software.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar.Certification or additional coursework in employment law is a plus.
