Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in New Castle, DE, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of Delaware litigation practice experience. The successful candidate will defend insured and self-insured clients in high exposure cases across various areas of general liability. Responsibilities include case management, discovery, participation in hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials, as well as conducting legal research and drafting legal documents. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and research capability, strong written communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a comfort level with oral advocacy. Admission to practice law in Delaware is required.Duties:Defend insured and self-insured clients in high exposure cases in diverse areas of general liability.Manage cases from inception to resolution, including case management and discovery.Participate in hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.Collaborate with senior attorneys and assist in developing legal arguments.Requirements:1-4 years of Delaware litigation practice experience.Admission to practice law in Delaware.Excellent analytical and research capability.Willingness to learn and adapt.Comfort level with oral advocacy.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to practice law in Delaware.Skills:Legal research and analytical skills.Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.Case management and organization.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
