The Florida Democratic Party and Biden for President are seeking a Deputy Director for Content Strategy for the 2024 election cycle, to lead our growing fast-paced content creation and digital rapid response efforts, including supporting our persuasion and mobilization strategy, execution, and targeted amplification of Joe Biden's message to reach key Hispanic voting blocks.
Responsibilities:
Draft daily batches of social content in English and Spanish, manage scheduling, and manage approval processes across digital programs and other departments.
Create relevant, cross-channel content for our digital Hispanic outreach.
Work under tight deadlines to create original, shareable videos for social platforms.
Edit videos using a mix of original footage, news footage, and archival footage.
Oversee the design of graphics and captioning of videos as needed.
Support social listening and digital rapid response efforts across video platforms.
Monitor social performance across platforms and compile weekly analytics reports.
Analyze the impact of the program and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
Monitor media and social media trends to proactively identify potential content opportunities and craft preemptive strategies.
Attend events in South Florida to gather photos and video content, and help manage video shoots as they come up.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in the social media, media, and/or entertainment industry working with agencies, creators, or digital media companies.
Experience working in social media on campaigns a bonus, but not necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, capable of crafting clear and compelling messages quickly and under pressure.
Proven experience in video content creation and strategy. Comfortable drafting platform-specific copy for multiple channels.
Proficiency in platform management, and social media editing and design tools.
Experience working with a variety of different cameras, and knowledge of lighting design.
Experience leading Latino voter or consumer-focused programs strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail, with a sharp eye for catching typos and ensuring accuracy in digital content creation and management.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Spanish preferred.
