Recognized consecutively for the past nine years as one of the Best Places to Work in Vermont, The Richards Group is currently seeking an Account Manager or a Senior Account Manager to join our Personal Lines team in the Manchester Center, VT office. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has strong interpersonal skills and a desire to cultivate positive relationships and provide exceptional service.

The Account Manager works independently and or collaboratively to manage overall client service and administration throughout the issuance and renewal cycle. This position is a client facing role utilizing professional skills in Personal Property and Casualty insurance to maintain and enhance client relationships while also insuring agency profitability.

The Senior Account Manager is performing at a higher level in regard to customer service and retention. They play a critical role in aiding the department is achieving their goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of an Account Manager:

Receive, document and process all customer requests for service and submit information to insurance companies in a timely mannerEnsure policy accuracy and timely completion of endorsement and audit requestsIdentify and deliver coverage recommendations for clients in an ongoing fashionSummarization of current program and expiring exposuresResponsible for all documentation and maintenance of client records within our Agency Management SystemManage work flow effectively to maintain current status on all activitiesEstablish and maintain positive relationships with clients, carriers & TRG team membersEssential Duties and Responsibilities of a Senior Account Manager:

Performs all duties of the Personal Lines Account ManagerAbility to analyze complex customer needs with resulting recommendations that are consistent with direction to maintain or enhance client relationships while also ensuring agency profitabilityIn addition to service duties, the Sr. Account Manager seeks opportunities and engages in specific departmental initiativesDemonstrates emerging leadership skills within servicing function to include delegation, collaborating, training & mentoringMust have active P&C license and 5 years related experienceQualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.Active Property & Casualty licenseAchieved or actively pursuing professional designations (CIC, CPSU, ACSR, AAI)Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must possess basic math and organizational skills.Must have basic keyboarding skills.Attention to detail.Additional Qualifications commensurate with Senior AM Status:

Persuasive with strong networking and negotiation skillsConflict resolution skillsAbility to prioritize and multitask effectivelyAbility to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentSelf-motivated and holds themselves to a high standard

$45,000 - $65,000 a year

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 depending on experience and comes with unlimited commission potential as well as a $1000 signing bonus. Commissions paid on any new policies written for new or existing customers.
