As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of various self-perform construction projects. You will lead our internal Tesla Construction team and collaborate cross-functionally with base build, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering departments to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
Lead a team comprising Project Coordinators, Buyers, Superintendents, and craft personnel Foster a culture focused on safety and quality across projects and throughout the company Conduct constructability reviews of design packages Maintain a proactive, can-do attitude to align stakeholders with project goals Identify project risks and opportunities, actively managing them throughout the project lifecycle Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements Interface with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and commissioning teams Conduct Lessons Learned sessions during and after each project Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or civil/structural/architectural fields, including 5 years as a Project Manager Previous experience managing projects valued at $25M or more Proficiency in material take offs and estimating from construction drawings Ability to read, interpret, and manage changes to construction drawings Strong skills in Construction baseline development, change control, cost/schedule performance, and variance analysis Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
