Cancellation Policy

Hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract. Each cancellation could be a full shift or any part of a shift. (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation).

Unit Notes

**Telemetry, L/D, Emergency and Critical Care RN's will take a proctored Dysrhythmia Test onsite, day one. This is a PASS/FAIL test! **MUST have experience with ICP monitoring and ventrics** - Unit: ICU - # beds: 30 beds - Certs: ACLS, BLS, PALS - Ratios: 1 to 1-2, 90% of the time will be 1 to 2 ratio - EMR: Cerner - Charge Nurse: yes, they do not take pt assignment - Nurse Aides: No - Weekend Requirement: every other - Holidays: no holiday requirement at this time but they may be required to work - Scrub Color: navy - Tele: GE - Vents: yes - hamilton - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: hosp 24/7 - IV Team: no - RT 24/7: yes - Pharmacy 24/7: yes - Shifts: 12 hr shifts, schedules made out about 6 weeks in advance - Floating: any of the tele or medsurg units - Floor specific orientation: 1 day on unit - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: trauma - travelers must have this experience, neuro-strokes, head injurires, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring - candidates MUST have experience with ICP monitoring and ventrics if they do not have this experience then they MUST have experience with post-TPA pts - Additional Notes: candidates must have 2-3 yrs in specialty, previous travel experience preferred, must know ahead of time they will work very hard on this unit, must be open to asking questions or asking for help if needed, unit is fast-paced, must be able to get along well with others, hospital has a very robust interventional radiology program, traveler friendly, ****Absolutely do not send over candidates who have 2 years or less experience and minimal travel experience UNLESS they have excellent past experiences at larger, fast-paced facilities
