Warehouse Associate

Shift will be 10:00 AM-7:00 PMMust be flexible- availability is needed from time to time for OT (not a lot of OT but there can be during peak season)Must be a self-starter / go-getter and be eager to workResponsibilities :

Accurately prepare and fulfill orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery areaMaintain quality service by following organization standardsMaintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededPerform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sortingMove product and inventory using a forklift and bin systemReport defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisorMeasure, weigh, and count products and materialsExamine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are metRecord product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and recordsHelp control quality by removing incomplete or defective products or materials from packagePlace items on / collect items from moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docksSeal containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails, and hand toolsLoad materials and products into package processing equipmentAssemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand toolsClean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand toolsPlace or pour products or materials into containers, using hand tools and equipmentHigh volume bulk picking from mezzanine and rack locationPhysical Demands :

Stand for long periods of timeRepetitive motionsMust be able to frequently lift up to 75 poundsFrequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containersRequirements :

Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructionsEffectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organizationPossess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionPerform basic visual quality inspections on productsWork at a fast pace and demonstrate urgency towards the completion of projectsUtilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform dutiesMust be certified or become certified in operation of forklift, previous experience is a plusExperience with UPS WorldShip software package a plusProficiency with FedEx shipping software a plusExperience with Export shipping a plusProficiency with computers requiredExperience handling RF guns requiredAccuracy and attention to detailMust be able to functionally interface with personnel at all levels, multitask and work independently and react to changing priorities and conditions in order to meet job objectives
