Local Contract - Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - two openings

Compensation : $49.79 - $49.79 Hourly Client Job Ref ID : ASC-12901 |AH-HHC-44764 Start Date : 10/08/2023 End Date : 01/13/2024 Department: Medical Surgical Unit Shift timing: Night Shift 18:45-07:15 Hours Roles & Responsibilities Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Minimum Qualifications This department is a 22 unit, serving Medical/Surg adult patients and does have telemetry capability. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6 on days and 1:6-7 on nights. Care for patients pre and post surgery and patients on heparin and lasix drips. The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit coordinator. Additional Support Mon-Thur includes a Clinical Supervisor on days and nights. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemet QUALIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg experience. Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Active unencumbered RN Oklahoma state license One year of Epic experience Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
