One of our top clients is seeking a dedicated and motivated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies.
Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on physician orders and patient needs. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to protocols and physician directives. Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment. Educate and support patients and their families during their time in the emergency department. Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record. Maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency room nursing or a related critical care setting. BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong assessment and prioritization skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
