Responds in a professional and courteous manner to in-house guests requests by providing accurate and timely information and services. This property is located in the heart of Chicago's Magnificent Mile.Duties and ResponsibilitiesJob Description: Oversee all hotel housekeeping operations and supervise personnel to ensure the housekeeping department operates in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.

Responsibilities include, but are never limited to:Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with SMASHotel's core values.Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance and safety.Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services and resolve guests' complaints and concerns.Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures.Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders to ensure supplies are purchased in a timely manner.Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the department or the hotel.Comply with SMASHotel's internal audit standards pertaining to key control and risk management areas (I.E. lost and found, key control, guest room safety).Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and third party contract labor.Practice safe work habits; follow MSDS and OSHA standards; wear protective safety equipment and participate in safety committees as directed.Assist in the continual search for better/equal products to carry out the departmental tasks at the lowest possible price.Assist in the completion of employee performance appraisals on time maintaining objectivity and sincerity.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Communicate in the primary language of the hotel.Show off the proper uniform/dress at all times and be well-groomed.Must be available to work nights, weekends & holidays.Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.Previous leadership experience required.Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.Regular and reliable attendance.About the CompanyA uniquely different hospitality company, SMASHotels relentlessly pursues the finest talent, trends, and ambiances to create extraordinary experiences.
