Business Manager

BUSINESS MANAGER

Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Parish in Broomfield, Colorado is currently accepting applications for a Business Manager Nativity of Our Lord is a Roman Catholic Parish under the pastoral care of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Charles Borromeo within the Archdiocese of Denver. Nativity actively serves a community of 2,800 families and is the home to a school of 400 students.

This executive management position reports directly to the Pastor and is responsible for managing the financial, human resources, risk management, maintenance and facilities, and administrative operations of the Church and Pre-K to 8th grade School.

Qualified candidates MUST have senior level financial and general business management experience. Candidates should be a Catholic who actively participates in the life of the Church. Current or previous experience as a Parish Business Manager is preferred. Duties and responsibilities of the Business Manager position include the following.

Financial
  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • Budgeting
  • Donor revenue accounting
  • Accounts payable and vendor management
  • School tuition billing and record keeping
  • Financial liason with bank and parish finance council
  • Campaign, stewardship and fundraising management

Human Resources
  • Assists Pastor in hiring, performance evaluation, and compensation
  • Supervises all human resources operations
  • Payroll management
  • Benefit management
  • Oversees personnel document management

Risk Management
  • Claims reporting and processing
  • Small contractor compliance (W-9, COI , hold harmless releases)
  • Volunteer compliance and record keeping
  • Employee accident reporting
  • Employee background check & Code of Conduct compliance

Maintenance and Facilities
  • Supervise Facilities Manager and Custodial Manager
  • Contract management for maintenance and capital projects
  • Supervises IT Specialist and evaluates technology needs

Administration
  • Supervises front office reception staff
  • Assures archiving of financial records
  • Maintains vendor contracts
  • Year-end tax compliance and reporting
