Position : MySQL DB AdministratorLocation : Jersey City, NJ Hybrid , Need to go to Office 2-3 Days /WeekDuration : 6+ Months , High Possibility to Extend
For one of our Clients in the Insurance Segment we are searching for
MySQL DB Admin.
Responsibilities
Implementation, Configuration of MySQL databaseCollaborate with our Engineering team to define technical infrastructure environments using MySQL.Define and document standards and guidelines.Automate repeatable tasksCoordinate with internal stakeholders; determine requirements and recommend solutionsAssist in the development of systems and procedures affecting database management, design and maintenanceEvaluate, test and produce recommendations for the selection of DBMS software, data management tools and utilities and replication toolsSupport problem resolution; consult and advise in application design and tuning; plan, organize and execute product benchmarks for threshold and functionalityProvide guidance, upon occasion, for tuning recommendations on Customer applicationsProvide data administration support of the development and maintenance of production applicationsParticipate in product evaluations, design review session, data requirement meetings and consulting with application development productsPerformance and Tuning at server and query levelProvide production supportReview technical documentation to verify compliance with client requirements and established architectural standards and guidelinesParticipate in 24x7 on-call support for Priority 1 issuesBe an escalation resource for Operations team for challenging database-related issuesUphold policy guidelines and recommend new/improved guidelinesResearch new technologies for MySQLDemonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the basic database skills of database administration, overall architecture, and database analysisProvide standardization and consistency across environmentsEnsure a stable and secure database environment
Skills Must haveExp range710 years.Strong MySQL administration. Experience working with DBAs and development teams.Production support or technology administration supporting internal systems.Strong UNIX/LINUX administration skillsExperience with Linux Shell scriptingExperience with Cloud (AWS/ Azure/ GCP)Experience with Database ClusteringShell ScriptingExperience working in an Agile environmentExperience with developing automation scriptsExperience with other database technologies (noSQL, memcache, redis, RDS, Cassandra, etc.)
Nice to haveInsurance domain exp.MYSQL Database certification (optional but preferred).
