Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Band 3)
Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the role of a Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist 3, with experience in supply chain management, or related fields. This role is in support of the Cables & Connectors or Mechanical commodity.
Responsibilities will encompass the full range of the subcontract acquisition process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of subcontracts while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will understand the buyer and the seller roles in establishing mutually successful business arrangements, with experience in work specifications and solicitations/bid packages, proposal evaluation, price and term negotiations, development of contractual documentation and post-award administration.
This position is responsible for executing major subcontract activities and providing contractual support and documentation to suppliers in support of proposals and programs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Band 3):
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
Six+ years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, Four years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related experience with a Master’s Degree
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Preferred Qualifications (Band 3):
Demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment
Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications
SAP experience
Knowledge of FAR/DFAR
Demonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and/or Cost Reimbursable
Demonstrated negotiation experience
Salary Range:
$80,600 - $127,000
