Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the role of a Sr/Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist with experiences in supply chain management, or related fields, to include business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing. The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman's Category Management Team (CMT) within the Mission Systems Sector, which is engaged throughout all aspects of the core technologies used within our major systems.Responsibilities will encompass the full range of the procurement acquisition process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of subcontracts while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will understand the buyer and the seller roles in establishing mutually successful business arrangements, with experiences in work specifications and solicitations/bid packages, proposal evaluation, price and term negotiations, development of contractual documentation and post award administration.Candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.Within the CMT organization the candidate will support a team-based organization and perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including but not limited to strategic analysis, complex negotiations, materials planning, procurement execution/award, finance, and internal customer service. Ideal candidates are generally experienced in multiple areas of the procurement or contractual function(s), developing business relationships, and demonstrating an affinity for working with, or understanding both manufacturing and technology.This position is responsible for executing major procurement activities and providing contractual support and documentation to suppliers in support of programs.This position may be filled at the principal (Band 3) or Sr. Principal (Band 4) level, A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. This role is located in Linthicum MD, hybrid/remote may be considered.Basic Qualifications for Level 3:Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution6+ years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related experience with a Bachelor's Degree, 4+ years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related with a Master's Degree.Strong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiencesProficiency in MS Office suiteBasic Qualifications for Level 4:Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution10+ years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related experience with a Bachelor's Degree, 8+ years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related with a Master's Degree.Strong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiencesProficiency in MS Office suitePreferred Qualifications:Local/resides in the BWI areaDemonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environmentProfessional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, TelecommunicationsSAP experienceKnowledge of FAR/DFARDemonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and/or Cost ReimbursableFamiliarity with terms and conditions, and/or special contract clauses/types such as: long term agreements and intellectual property agreements.Demonstrated negotiation experienceNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce. $80,600 - $127,000Salary Range 2:
$99,900 - $157,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
