About the Role

Planful is rapidly growing and to continue the record-breaking success we've seen, we're looking for a seasoned Sales Compensation Manager who can drive success across multiple platforms. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will be responsible for developing and managing Planful sales compensation programs to drive sales performance and align with Planful's strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, and HR to design competitive and motivating compensation plans that reward sales excellence and achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the sales compensation strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's overall business objectives and sales targets.Collaborate with Sales Leadership to understand sales performance objectives and design effective compensation plans that incentivize desired behaviors.Conduct regular data analysis and performance assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of sales compensation plans and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.Lead the design and communication of sales compensation plans, ensuring clear and transparent understanding among the sales team and stakeholders.Manage the administration of sales compensation plans, including quota setting, commission calculations, and payouts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in sales compensation to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our compensation programs.Collaborate with Finance to establish budgets and forecasts related to sales compensation expenses, providing regular reporting and insights to support decision-making.Work closely with HR to ensure that sales compensation programs are compliant with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.Provide training and support to Sales Leadership and the sales team on sales compensation plans, policies, and processes.Serve as a subject matter expert on sales compensation during sales incentive plan reviews, sales performance evaluations, and compensation discussions.

What you Bring to the Table

Proven experience (6+ years) in sales compensation management or related roles, with a track record of designing and implementing successful sales compensation plans.Deep understanding of sales compensation strategies, metrics, and best practices, with experience in variable pay structures and sales performance management.Strong analytical and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret sales performance data and make data-driven decisions to improve compensation plans.Excellent knowledge of sales processes and incentive plan administration, with the ability to set quotas and calculate commissions accurately.Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple compensation projects and deadlines.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compensation concepts to diverse stakeholders.Collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with Sales, Finance, and HR.High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to ensure compliance with policies and regulations related to compensation.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing business needs and priorities.

Pay Transparency Statement

At Planful our top priority is to support our employees and ensure each individual has access to equal growth opportunities. Pay decisions take into consideration the individual's skillset, experience, knowledge, qualifications for the role, and specific work location.
