The Participant Experience & Ecosystem team leads the centralized delivery of content, channels and education to substantially increase access, awareness and retention and deliver a world-class experience for those who courageously volunteer for our clinical trials.What You Will AchieveThe Associate Director, Participant Experience will leverage participant insights/clinical trial journey maps to develop breakthrough and differentiated advertising, education, study kits, advocacy materials and content assets participant-facing materials at the program and study-level. This individual will be directly responsible for supporting development programs in the Vaccines and Oncology divisions and report to the Head of Participant Experience & Ecosystem.How You Will Achieve ItLead creative agency in developing a master brand and messaging playbook for certain Vaccines and Oncology clinical development programsPartner closely with Recruitment Strategy to ensure that participant engagement tactics and strategies deliver against study recruitment and retention goalsEnsure study-level outreach content is aligned with overall therapeutic area content strategies and campaign assetsEnsure all participant education, campaigns, and messaging are aligned with the program/study strategic positioning and goalsWork with Participant Experience Leads to identify category and study level participant insights and define optimal participant segmentationAlign with Pfizer’s broader Equity agenda by partnering with cross-functional colleagues to develop strategies and programs to ensure appropriate representation across different racial and ethnic groupsEnsure all participant education and support strategies are patient-friendly and abide by Pfizer’s health literacy standardsQualificationsSignificant demonstrated experience developing patient-facing educational content – for example, printed brochures, websites, educational videosDemonstrated experience developing digital outreach – for example, social media, digital media, searchDemonstrated experience working with a creative advertising or communications agencyMinimum of 5-7 years pharmaceutical experience to include 5 years of pharmaceutical marketing or recruitment experiencePrior experience with Vaccines or Oncology preferredDemonstrated ability to understand customer needs, extract key insights, and translate these into meaningful and impactful messages and creativeHigh learning agility and focus on continuous improvementAbility to operate in a fast-paced, high energy environment and comfort with operating in situations with ambiguity and “white space”Effective listening and communication skills – gathers input from key stakeholdersStrong verbal and written communication skills – ability to effectively manage with senior clinical or medical stakeholdersIndependent worker with demonstrated trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills and ability to navigate internal organization/processes.Be an active contributor to create and operate in an environment that continuously embraces and encourages innovation and fosters a culture of collaboration and teamworkUphold Pfizer’s Core Values of Excellence, Equity, Courage, and Joy, while contributing to a positive and collaborative team cultureThis job requires being on-site 2-3 days a week.The annual base salary for this position ranges from $109,400.00 to $182,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary.
