The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington is hiring for an Associate Professor or Professor (without tenure by reason of funding) appointment on the Faculty-Scientist track to join the Division of Adolescent Medicine and the Seattle Children’s Research Institute (SCRI) Center for Child Health, Behavior, and Development. This position will be expected to establish a research focus and to mentor and collaborate within the Division and the Department of Pediatrics. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2024.The successful applicant will join a well-established division of thirteen Adolescent Medicine faculty members and a multidisciplinary team of over fifty staff and faculty. The division consists of a diverse group of adolescent health experts who value the excellence that comes from diversity, fostering a climate of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation.Particular strengths of the Division include an outstanding fellowship program, a Maternal and Child Health Bureau-funded Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) training, and an active research program.Associate and full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.This position will have a research focus with interest that has strong potential to collaborate with other research within the division, including in the areas of behavioral health, reproductive health for all genders, injury prevention, eating disorders, integrative medicine, gender affirming care, substance use disorder, and electronic health record privacy. Research expertise both within and outside of these areas is welcome.The base salary range for this position will be: Associate Professor, PhD $13,334 - $19,584 per month ($160,008 - $235,000 annually) or Professor, PhD $15,000 - $27,917 per month ($180,000 - $335,004 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in the University benefit determinations and calculations.Qualifications

Research candidate must have PhD degree (or foreign equivalent) in biomedical sciences or another relevant field.Application Instructions
